I was randomly invited by a good friend " JEW" that's his name not his religion though, he is a member of trail insanity, to join them on a fun hike in Mt. Maculot - I said why not? It was a bit hazy when we started to hike, If you've been an avid reader, you already know that whenever I travel or out and about I chose not to bring my bulky camera, for I wanted to absorb the place I go versus being a trigger happy photographer, so packed with my handy ipod and Jew's camera we head on for a day hike, and met heaps of fun and lovely people along the way!
BACKGROUND Mt. Maculot is one of the most popular daytrip destinations. It is so popular that on weekends and summer months, there is a sari-sari store, dubbed '7-11' at the campsite. This mountain, at the heart of Batangas, is known as a landmark for locals and travelers alike; it is easily identifiable because of its abruptly terminating east side - forming a cliff that is challenging for rock climbers and breathtaking to everybody else.
